Facebook Community Guidelines

The goal of our Facebook Community Guidelines is to create a positive learning space for all practitioners and to support evidence based question asking and discussion.

Many Facebook groups for clinicians are focused on clinical pearls and very specific patient questions, which does not enrich the learning of the community nor does it foster evidence based discussion.

We encourage members to consider broader questions versus specific patient questions and to post after they have conducted their own set of primary research. The Facebook group should not be the first place you look for information.

Here are a few examples of good questions:

  1. Does anyone have resources on the standards of care for hypothalamic amenorrhea in athletes?
  2. Why is elevated liver enzymes a relative contraindication for HRT?
  3. What is the likelihood of a patient developing liver damage if they use Niacin for their lipids?
  4. What is the increased risk of VTE in a patient with PCOS who uses the oral contraceptive?
  5. What causes elevated levels of triglycerides in a young otherwise healthy patient and how would this be investigated?
